double doodle / north american retriever

A Double Doodle is a name given to the cross between a labradoodle ( Labrador x poodle) and a goldendoodle ( golden retriever x poodle.) It is an allergy friendly dog, in most cases. A dog that has hair, rather than fur so you are not going to find shedding hair everywhere, like you might with a lab or a golden retriever. Another name for this cross is the North American Retriever. The reason for breeding the Double Doodle is to create not only a beautiful, allergy friendly pet, but a dog that has a calm disposition, with an eagerness to learn and serve type attitude.

Finding someone with a Double Doodle is hard to find! There are just a handful of breeders breeding this new breed in Ireland.
