The Siberian Husky is a tough working dogs; a little willful, but trainable. A healthy husky can live as long as 15 years!! This breed is comfortable in relatively cold climate, and should not be overworked in warm climate. Like most breeds, they require constant training. The husky is a self sufficient dog that loves to roam; hence they should be fenced in and walked on a leash.

The husky is good with children, and friendly with strangers. They don’t make particularly good watchdogs, considering they rarely bark, and they love everyone. This is a highly intelligent dog, and although trainable, it will only obey a command from a dominant force.

A point of caution; the husky is an Arctic dog, it loves to roam, training it takes significant patience and understanding.
